Internal documents show decline in revenue at Pac-12 Networks, flat year-over-year payouts to schools

ADVANCE FOR SATURDAY, OCT. 1 – In this July 14, 2016, file photo, Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott speaks at the Pac-12 NCAA college football media day in Los Angeles. Scott helped transform and modernize the Pac-12 when he took over as commissioner, helped the conference land a $3 billion TV deal and create its own network. Eight years later, the conference is reaping financial rewards and he believes it is well-positioned to adapt to the changing landscape of both college sports and media rights. Internal budget projections for the Pac-12 Networks obtained by the Hotline show a 6% ($8.1 million) year-over-year decline in total revenue and, perhaps most significantly, they aren’t expected to increase the amount they distribute to the campuses.
