PULLMAN, Wash. – Three Washington State University football games, two home and one road, have been selected as part of the Pac-12 Conference’s early television selections, the conference announced Monday.
The Pac-12 television selections cover the first three weeks of the season, along with eight special date games later in the year.
The Cougars will open their 2015 season Saturday, Sept. 5 by hosting Portland State at Martin Stadium. Gametime is set for 11 a.m. and will be broadcast by the Pac-12 Networks. In 2014, the Cougars posted a 59-21 victory over Portland State and hold a 3-0 advantage in the all-time series.

Following an away game at Rutgers, the Cougars return to Martin Stadium to host Wyoming, Saturday, Sept. 19 at 5:30 p.m., also televised by the Pac-12 Networks. The Wyoming game will be part of Hall of Fame Weekend as WSU will induct a class of 25 into the Washington State Athletic Hall of Fame. WSU holds a 3-2 series advantage over Wyoming, though the Cowboys captured the last meeting, a 34-13 decision at Martin Stadium in 1990.
The 2015 Apple Cup will be played Friday, Nov. 27, as the Cougars travel to Seattle to face Washington. The game will be televised by either FOX or FOX Sports 1, and will be played at 12:30 or 1 p.m. Start time and network selection will be finalized 12 days prior to the game.
While television selections for the first three weeks of the 2015 season have been made, as well as all Thursday and Friday games throughout the season, all remaining television game selections and start times, starting with week four (Saturday, September 26) and running through the final week of the regular season (Saturday, November 28) will be made 12- or six-days in advance.
Additional non-conference road games will be televised as part of other conference or institution television packages. Those conferences and institutions will release their 2015 television schedule in the coming weeks. In all, every game involving a Pac-12 team is expected to be televised this season.
In addition to the selected games, the Cougars will play road games at Rutgers, California, Oregon, Arizona and UCLA. Rutgers will be announced later this summer by the Big Ten Conference. The remaining home games included Oregon State, Stanford, Arizona State and Colorado.
The television arrangement with ESPN and FOX Sports calls for Pac-12 football to receive full national distribution of each game. ESPN will televise on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ABC, while FOX Sports will air its games on FOX or FOX Sports 1. ABC or ESPN will culminate the 2015 Pac-12 season when it carries the Pac-12 Football Championship Game on Saturday, December 5.
Season tickets are on sale now to the general public and are available online at WSUCougars.com or by phone at 1-800-GO-COUGS. Tickets for Cougar road games are also on sale now and mini plans for home games go on sale June 29. Single-game tickets will go on sale Monday, August 3 at 9 a.m.
