Love missed Stanford's game against Oregon State last week and was considered a game-time decision up until Friday.

The Stanford Cardinal ended a week of speculation a day early, announcing Friday that running back Bryce Love will play Saturday against Washington State.

Love missed Stanford’s game against Oregon State last week with an ankle injury. The 15-14 win probably felt a little — or a lot — too close for the Cardinal. Coach David Shaw had said earlier this week that their star running back was “feeling better this week than last week” but that he would “probably be a game-time decision.”

In seven games, Love has rushed for 1,387 yards on 135 carries — an average of 10.3 yards a carry — and 11 touchdowns. Love has accounted for 41 percent of the Cardinal’s yards from scrimmage this season despite missing a game.

WSU and Stanford are scheduled to kick off Saturday at 12:30 p.m. from Martin Stadium on FOX.
