Monday’s national championship game was never going to be easy for Washington fans.
To make matters worse, the Huskies never led and almost immediately trailed Michigan.
But there were moments. Michael Penix Jr. found Jalen McMillan for a touchdown in the second quarter. UW’s defense came up with stops time and again in the third quarter to keep the Huskies in striking distance.
But the end result was a loss, as told through the eye rolls, the disbelief and the agony in the faces of UW fans caught by videographer Ramon Dompor at their official watch party at Alaska Airlines Arena.
The drama along the way was always to be expected.
