There’s no holding back now: The Huskies have won the past six Apple Cups, their outgoing senior class leaves UW undefeated against Washington State — and there’s simply no question who currently owns the rivalry.

That made for some seriously fire postgame quotes from some UW players and coaches. Chris Petersen may have been the only Husky not doing some form of trash-talking after the 28-15 win.

Here’s a running thread of some of the best we’ve come across:

QB Jake Browning: “I heard it sucks to lose to the Cougs, and I’m glad I’ve never had to experience that.”

RB Myles Gaskin: “They don’t want none. It happens every year. That’s how we do it.”

Co-DC Jimmy Lake: “We know what type of offense we’re playing. They do the same thing year in and year out. This is five years in a row now. So it makes it really easy to game-plan when an offense does the same thing every year. … Knowing what I read about the head football coach here, he does things a little bit different way. So hopefully he remains here for a long time. That would be awesome.”

Lake, again (on 950 KJR): “For four years in a row, we’ve knocked the crap out of them.”

DB JoJo McIntosh: “This feels amazing, knowing they can’t mess with us. We run this state. This is our house. We run Washington.”
