The Cougars will have a national audience for their third game of the season, a Friday night neutral site contest against the University of Houston. Part of the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff at NRG Stadium, home of the NFL’s Houston Texans, the nonconference game will kick at 6:15 p.m. PT and be shown on ESPN. It’ll be the first meeting between the schools since WSU beat Houston 24-22 in the 1988 Aloha Bowl.

The Pac-12 will use six- or 12-day options to determine kickoff times and television selections for the next eight games, though WSU fans can get a headstart on travel plans for the annual Apple Cup game, which will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday Nov. 29 at Husky Stadium in Seattle. The game will be aired either on FOX or FS1.
