Former Washington quarterback Jake Locker will return to Husky Stadium to be feted as the “Husky Legend” during the Huskies’ Apple Cup game against Washington State next week.

It will mark the first time UW will recognize Locker since the quarterback’s retirement from the NFL in March. Locker was the eighth overall pick of the 2011 NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans.

Since retiring, he has settled back in his native Ferndale to raise his growing family.

As of Wednesday afternoon, UW reported there were less than 3,000 tickets remaining for the Apple Cup, set for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff on Nov. 27.

“We sure hope those seats are filled by fans in purple and gold,” one UW official said.
