Nathaniel Kalepo, a four-star offensive tackle entering his junior year at Seattle’s Rainier Beach High, announced his commitment to the Huskies on Friday afternoon.

Kalepo is ranked as the West Coast’s No. 3 tackle for the Class of 2019.

Oregon and UCLA were Kalepo’s other two finalists.

He is listed at 6-feet-6 and 300 pounds on his hudl.com recruiting page.

In mid-July, Kalepo was named an MVP of UW’s Rising Stars recruiting camp. Two weeks later, he announced on Twitter he had received a formal scholarship offer from the Huskies.

Kalepo is the second 2019 recruit to commit to the Huskies, joining Graham-Kapowsin quarterback Dylan Morris.

Correction: This story has been corrected. It originally said that Kalepo was the nephew of former UW All-American Danny Shelton. That is not correct. Kalepo and his family are close with Shelton’s family, so much so that Kalepo considers Shelton like an uncle.
