Hunter Bryant, a four-star tight end from Eastside Catholic High in Sammamish, announced his verbal commitment to the Huskies on Saturday.
Scout.com ranks the 6-foot-3, 235-pound Bryant as the nation’s No. 6 tight end recruit for 2017 and No. 2 on the West Coast. He chose UW over offers from UCLA, Washington State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Auburn, Nebraska and others.
Bryant has helped Eastside Catholic win the last two Class 3A championship games. At UW, he will be reunited will Eastside Catholic teammate Brandon Wellington, one of UW’s prized recruits in the Class of 2016.
