It's the final home game of the season for the Huskies, and the final game at Husky Stadium for seniors like Myles Gaskin and Jake Browning. Will they go out on top? They'll try to avoid a slip-up against last-place Oregon State the week before the Apple Cup.
1:30 p.m. | Husky Stadium | Seattle, Wash.
TV: Pac-12 Networks | Radio: 1000 AM/97.7 FM | Stream: Pac-12.com
8:30 | Huskies 42, Oregon State 23 Jake Browning, still in the game with a commanding fourth-quarter lead, takes a big hit on third down, and UW is forced to punt. Oregon State blocks the kick and is able to convert it into a touchdown. That may be Browning’s final play at Husky Stadium, as Jake Haener comes on.
6:40 | Huskies 42, Oregon State 16 Joel Whitford’s punt hits off the Oregon State returner, and Kyler Manu recovers for the Huskies at the OSU 6-yard line. Myles Gaskin lines up in the wildcat and takes the direct snap into the end zone.
0:44 | Huskies 35, Oregon State 13 UW marches down the field to answer the Beavers’ mini-run and extend their lead heading into half. After, though, Myles Gaskin gets an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty … for this:
The penalty allows Oregon State to get within field goal range before the end of the half, pulling within 35-16.
12:18 | Huskies 28, Oregon State 13 What an odd series of events. First, Oregon State scores a touchdown, setting off a strange series of events: An impressive drop kick onside kick that OSU recovers, a 31-yard pass downfield with an equally impressive catch, then a field goal that bounces off the uprights and in. Long story short, the Huskies’ 28-3 lead has been cut down to 28-13.
5:09 | Huskies 21, Oregon State 3 After forcing and recovering a fumble on the kickoff, the Huskies need three plays to get in the end zone again. Jake Browning and Aaron Fuller combine for an immaculate throw and catch in the back of the end zone.
6:13 | Huskies 14, Oregon State 3 Another drive, another Salvon Ahmed touchdown. The Huskies are cutting through Oregon State’s defense like butter. And, oh, did we mention Myles Gaskin is already over 100 yards rushing?
12:04 | Huskies 7, Oregon State 0 A quick strike from Washington against Oregon State’s Swiss-cheese defense gives UW an early lead. Four plays, 79 yards. Salvon Ahmed finishes it off with a 4-yard TD run, set up by a 64-yard breakaway by Myles Gaskin.
