Elle Ladine poured in a game-high 28 points and the Washington women limited host Nebraska to just five points in the third quarter Sunday to pull away for an 83-62 win in Big Ten action.

Leading 45-42, the Huskies (16-12, 7-9) held Nebraska scoreless for the final 6:53 of the third quarter to surge to a 60-42 advantage after having led 39-37 at halftime.

Kendall Moriarty’s layup broke the Cornhuskers’ scoring drought 24 seconds into the fourth quarter, but Hannah Stines (six points, six rebounds, five assists) answered with back-to-back buckets to push UW’s lead to 64-44.

Ladine, who surpassed 1,000 career points in the second quarter on a three-pointer, connected on 11 of 18 field-goal attempts and hit 4 of 9 from three-point range to go along with four rebounds and four assists.

Dalayah Daniels added 21 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals, as the Huskies won the turnover battle 15-5 and held a 23-6 advantage in points off turnovers.

Alexis Markowski paced Nebraska (18-10, 9-8) with 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Jessica Petrie added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
