The Washington women’s basketball team won’t be able to ease into its first Big Ten season.
The conference schedule makers didn’t give the Huskies any favor and paired them against preseason national championship contender UCLA in their first Big Ten league game on Dec. 8 at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Washington’s first road trip in league play is a four-day trek to play Northwestern and Illinois on Dec. 28 and New Year’s Eve.
Other notable games: The Huskies play defending Big Ten champion Ohio State on Feb. 2 in Columbus, OH. Washington travels to Oregon on Feb. 12 and hosts the Ducks in the regular-season finale on March 2.
