Scouting report: The Huskies have been off for six days since their 73-61 loss last Saturday against No. 13 Virginia Tech. … Based on opponents’ win percentage through game at the start of the week, UW has faced the second-most difficult schedule this season as its foes have a cumulative .732 (93-34) win percentage that trails only No. 1 Kansas (.779). … Jaylen Nowell has scored fewer than 14 points in just two games this season. He’s shooting 54.4 percent from the field this season up from 45.1 a year ago.  … Sophomore Naz Carter nearly had his first career double-double in UW’s last outing as he posted 11 points and a career-best nine rebounds. … Matisse Thybulle, UW’s career steals leader at 236, has now recorded at least one steal in 57-straight games. … The Huskies are 5-0 at home this season, which includes wins over UC Santa Barbara, Eastern Washington, Seattle, San Diego and Western Kentucky. … Last season Sacramento State was 7-25 and riddled with injuries. … Fifth-year senior point guard Marcus Graves, who missed all of last season after suffering a back surgery, leads the backcourt. … Meanwhile, junior center Joshua Patton has increased his scoring nearly four points to 14.6 points per game. … The Hornets’ 6-2 record marks just the second time the team has won six of its first eight games since becoming a Division I team in 1991. … The Hornets and Huskies have played just twice, and Washington won both of those meetings in Seattle.
