The Huskies (19-10, 9-7 Pac-12) could still finish among the top four teams in the regular-season race and capture a first-round bye in the conference tournament, but they would need lots of help to leap past the four teams ahead of them in the standings.
Washington can’t catch Arizona (22-7, 12-4) or USC (21-9, 12-5), but Stanford (16-13, 10-6), UCLA (19-10, 10-7), Utah (18-10, 10-7) and Oregon (19-10, 9-7) are within reach.
However, each team currently holds a tie-breaker advantage against UW.
Stanford and Utah both swept the season series against Washington, while the Huskies lost to UCLA and Oregon.
To secure the No. 3 or No. 4 seed, Washington would have to beat Oregon State and Oregon at Alaska Airlines Arena this week and hope that Stanford, UCLA and Utah doesn’t win again. The Huskies would need at least two of the three teams to lose its remaining games to receive an automatic berth in the Pac-12 quarterfinals.
Stanford finishes the regular season at Arizona and ASU; UCLA visits USC while Utah hosts Colorado.
