As UW basketball fans well know, Isaiah Thomas has a penchant for making clutch shots. He did just that in Sunday’s overtime win over the Hawks, draining a corner three-pointer in the final minute to seal a series-tying victory for Boston.

The performance came on the heels of a 42-point effort by Thomas in a winning effort Friday, and has further elevated the local hoops star among elite company in the NBA.

But while Thomas’ 28 points-per-game average and clutch shooting has been impressive, his kids were the ones who truly stole the show Sunday. Thomas’ sons James and Jaiden joined in on the postgame press conference, and had some opinions to offer about their dad.

“Isaiah’s the greatest basketball player,” young James proclaimed, as his dad watched on.

The praise is great and all, but Thomas also earned some serious dad points on this one. Jaiden couldn’t walk away without offering a friendly, “Thank you” to reporters.
