Former UW head coach Steve Sarkisian has apparently landed in hot water, following his apparent 'inappropriate' behavior at a USC football event Saturday night.
ESPN has obtained video of Sarkisian at Saturday’s event, clearly yelling to the crowd “Get ready to f***ing fight on baby.”
Here, also, are several tweets from onlookers at the event:
Former UW head coach Steve Sarkisian has apparently landed in hot water, following his ‘inappropriate’ behavior at a USC football event Saturday night.
As Pac-12 football blog, Pacific Takes, points out, several attendees at the event observed Sarkisian slurring his words, and using the F-word while on stage. The USC coach was apparently pulled off stage by USC athletic director Pat Haden and former USC player John McKay Jr.
The poll has expired. Thank you for your submissions.
Sarkisian issued this apology Sunday morning:
“I sincerely apologize to my players and staff and to our fans for my behavior and my inappropriate language at our kickoff event Saturday night. I have a responsibility to all of them and I let them down. Pat Haden talked to me after the event about my actions and I assured him this will not happen again.”
Haden also added this:
“I met with Coach Sarkisian and I expressed my disappointment in the way he represented himself and the University at our Salute To Troy event. While the details of our conversation will remain between us, I am confident he heard my message loud and clear.”
