With three of the city's pro female athletes as part of the ensemble cast, Seattle will be well represented in the 10th anniversary edition of ESPN Magazine's The Body Issue
Seattle Storm teammates Sue Bird and Breanna Stewart, and Reign star Megan Rapinoe will be featured in ESPN the Magazine’s 10th anniversary Body Issue that hits newsstands on June 29.
Bird, 37, has been the face of the Storm franchise since 2002, Bird is also No. 8 on the WNBA’s all-time scoring list, with 5,850 points and she is averaging 8.6 points per game for Seattle this season.
Stewart, 23, was the Storm’s first round draft pick out of UConn in 2016, and she finished her rookie season as the WNBA’s rookie of the year. Stewart has emerged as one of the WNBA’s most prolific scorers, and she is off to a fast start this season, her third as a pro. She leads the Storm with 21.5 points per game and posted her first 30-point performance in the Storm’s win over Chicago last Friday.
Rapinoe, 32, has been with the Seattle Reign since 2012 and is currently second in the NWSL with five goals scored this season. She’s also one of the biggest stars on the U.S. national soccer team. Bird revealed in an summer last summer that she and Rapinoe are dating.

Created to celebrate the athletic form, the issue features athletes in tasteful nude and semi-nude poses. The best-selling cover in the series was Serena Williams in 2009.
