Sounders forwards Clint Dempsey and Jordan Morris and defender Brad Evans have all been named to coach Jurgen Klinsmann’s preliminary, 40-player United States roster for this summer’s Copa America Centenario, the federation announced Sunday.

The USMNT begins training camp on May 16, four days before the due date for the final, 23-man roster. The team plays three warmup matches — vs. Puerto Rico on May 22, Ecuador on May 25 and Bolivia on May 28 — before opening Copa America against Colombia.

Seattle faces Colorado on May 21, New England on May 28 and D.C. on June 1 prior to MLS’ two-week break in deference to the tournament.

Former Sounder DeAndre Yedlin is also on the roster, and Seattle forward Nelson Valdez (Paraguay) and injured defender Roman Torres (Panama) are on their respective countries’ preliminary squads.
