Sounders 2 began life in the USL with a 4-2 takedown of defending league champion Sacramento last weekend at Starfire. On Sunday, it picked right up where it left off.
Darwin Jones netted a hat trick and Andy Craven scored his second goal in as many weeks as S2 cruised past Cascadian rivals Vancouver 4-0 at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila.
Jones, a rookie Homegrown Player signing out of UW, finished off a feed from Craven in the 16th minute and another 20 minutes later. Jones capped his hat trick less than five minutes into the second half as the Seattle lead ballooned to 4-0.
Seattle (2-0-0) outshot Vancouver (0-1-0) 11-0 in the first half alone and 20-4 on the day.
S2 returns to action on April 11 when it hosts Portland at Starfire. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
