SEATTLE – The SuperSonics waived guard Desmon Farmer and center Andreas Glyniadakis on Thursday, just days before their contracts would have become guaranteed.

Farmer was signed at the start of training camp, but played in only eight games, averaging 1.6 points. Glyniadakis was signed on Nov. 5 after the Sonics lost center Robert Swift for the season to a knee injury.

Glyniadakis played in 13 games and briefly was Bob Hill’s starting center against teams with big frontcourts. But Glyniadakis averaged just 1.3 points and less than a rebound per game and played just nine minutes in Seattle’s last seven games.

All contracts become guaranteed on Jan. 10.
