The Panthers pull ahead early in the second quarter on a 14-play drive that ends with Cam Newton scoring on a 2-yard run.
The Panthers wasted no time answering the Seahawks’ field goal on Sunday, putting together a 14-play, 80-yard drive that took 7:07 off the clock and ended with a Cam Newton 2-yard touchdown run with 13:30 left in the first half. (Watch highlight here.)
The costliest play of the drive was a defensive holding penalty on Richard Sherman that wiped out a second-down sack by Ahtyba Rubin.
The touchdown put Carolina ahead, 7-3. It was the first time the Seahawks trailed at home all season.
