Earl Thomas picks up his second interception in two games to set up the Seahawks' opening score, a 30-yard field goal by Steven Hauschka.
The Seahawks got the first break of Sunday’s game when Cam Newton’s pass over the middle was intercepted by Earl Thomas at the Panthers 33-yard line with 8:13 to go in the opening quarter. It was Thomas’ second interception in as many games (he had one last week against Cincinnati) and the team’s second pick of the season.

The play led to a five-play, 21-yard drive that ended with a 30-yard field goal by Steven Hauschka that bounced off the right upright and went in to put the Seahawks ahead, 3-0.
