The Seahawks emerged victorious Saturday in what was as miraculous a finish you'll see in a preseason game.
Preseason or not, the Seahawks sure do have a flair for the dramatic.
In what was otherwise an anticlimactic preseason contest, the Hawks added a bit of their trademark flair to the fourth quarter. Trailing by a touchdown with just 1:07 remaining, QB Trevone Boykin engineered an 88-yard drive, capped by a 37-yard Hail Mary to receiver Tanner McEvoy as time expired. Seattle went for two on the next play, and walked out of Kansas City with as miraculous a win as you’ll see in a preseason game.
Aside from the late-game dramatics, fans and media members pointed to several players who stood out for Seattle. Running back Christine Michael seemed to prove last season’s success was no fluke, the first-string offensive line was serviceable and rookie Tyvis Powell was a man on a mission.
