Here are snap counts for the Seahawks in their week two preseason game against the Vikings Thursday night.
Here are the official snap counts for Thursday night’s Seahawks-Vikings game.
Official, as in these are the ones included in the official gamebook distributed by the NFL.
However, showing that everyone appears to be in preseason form, two players not listed definitely played — fullback Jonathan Amosa and defensive back Tyvis Powell. Not sure if they just weren’t included, or their snaps were given to someone else or what happened. While that might call slightly into question the rest of the snap counts, at first glance these appear to be what it looked like on the field.
Another caveat — some sites such as Pro Football Focus take their own snap counts, so you can see some different numbers floating around.
A couple of quick thoughts looking at the snap counts below….
— It’s a little surprising to see Douglas McNeil play just four snaps given that he was one of the spring standouts and regarded as a legit contender for one of the final receiver spots. Maybe there was an injury or some other factor playing into it. McNeil played 28 snaps Saturday against the Chiefs.
— Brandon Williams ended up playing as much as he did by picking up the bulk of the work after Nick Vannett left with an ankle sprain in the third quarter. Interestingly, two other TEs on Seattle’s roster — Joe Sommers and Clayton Echard — didn’t play at all.
— The Seahawks really gave WR Antwan Goodley a good look after he didn’t play against the Chiefs. He had nine targets and five receptions in his 42 snaps.
— Quinton Jefferson got the most snaps on defense by stepping into the number one defense after Michael Bennett started and played two snaps and then called it a night.
