More honors Thursday for Seattle rookie Tyler Lockett, who was named the NFC’s Special Teams Player of the Month for December/January.

Lockett also won the award in September and became the second rookie ever to win multiple player of the month awards, joining Kansas City’s Tamarick Vanover in 1995.

Lockett ended the season with his best punt return game of the year, setting a Seahawks record with 139 yards on four punt returns in the 36-6 win over Arizona Sunday.

Lockett also had some big kickoff return games, notably a 47-yarder at Minnesota and four returns for 106 yards against the Rams.

Along the way he also joined Gale Sayers (1965) as the only other rookie in NFL history to have five TD catches, one punt return for a touchdown and one kickoff return for a touchdown.
