The Seahawks are expected to announce on Saturday the signing of fullback Jonathan Amosa, a former UW Husky who played at Rainier Beach High.

The Seahawks need to add to the fullback position after losing Brandon Cottom for the season after he suffered an Achilles injury in practice on Thursday. Tre Madden, who also had been being used some at fullback, has also been out of late with a shoulder injury.

Amosa was in camp with Green Bay in 2013 and scored a touchdown in a pre-season game against the Seahawks.

He was originally a walk-on at UW who began his career as a linebacker before moving to fullback.

The Seahawks have had a number of players in for tryouts the last few days as they have been hit with a few injuries that will require some roster moves.

The only other fullback on the Seattle roster at the moment is another former Husky, Tani Tupou, who began his career as a defensive lineman. Tupou has been playing with a cast on his hand.
