Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will be featured on ESPN’s SportsCenter Monday night in a sitdown interview. The show begins at 8 p.m. Seattle time, though the interview will likely come sometime later during the one-hour telecast, which begins after the Baltimore-Texas baseball game.

Wilson’s contract is the obvious hot topic that could be addressed, though it would be un-Wilson-like for him to drop any big bombs. Still, with the way every word he says right now is being examined like a pre-historic artifact, the interview will be sure to garner a lot of attention. We’ll pass on anything he might say.

Wilson is in Suncadia today and Tuesday for the Second Annual DRIVE Event teaming up with Kasey Kahne to benefit Strong Against Cancer at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Over the weekend, Wilson was in Madison, Wis., for one of his youth football camps.

He talked for a while to media there afterward (the video is above) but had only one small comment on his contract.

“The contract will work out,” he said. “It will work itself out. I’m excited about it, and I’m excited to hopefully be a Seattle Seahawk for a really, really long time. So that’s the goal.”

We’ll see what he says tonight.
