After scoreless first quarter, Chiefs get on the board thanks to a Jeremy Maclin touchdown reception.
Friday’s exhibition game between the Seahawks and Chiefs got off to a slow start as both teams combined for five punts in a scoreless first quarter. Kansas City finally broke the string of punts with a sustained drive that bridged the end of the first quarter and start of the second.
Quarterback Alex Smith guided the Chiefs on a 14-play, 83-yard drive that ended with Smith connecting with Maclin on a 3-yard touchdown pass with 9:56 to go in the first half. (Watch highlight here)
