Cam Newton wanted nothing to do with the '12' flag after his Panthers knocked off the Seahawks, 31-24, Sunday.
No one expects Carolina quarterback Cam Newton to be a paragon of sportsmanship.
True to form, after the Carolina Panthers dispatched the Seahawks from the playoffs in a hard-fought game Sunday, Newton rubbed it in by grabbing a “12” flag from a fan in the stands, balling it up and tossing it away. Then he celebrated by high-fiving Carolina fans seated in the front row.
The moment was captured on a short Vine video.
On Twitter, some 12s quickly came to the defense of their tribe.
But others suggested that winning is the best revenge.
