49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick kneeled and the Seahawks stood together with arms locked during the national anthem, as they both have been doing all season while also providing a striking contrast on Sunday at CenturyLink Field.
While Marie Hui sang “The Star-Spangled Banner,” Kaepernick kneeled on the sideline near midfield along with teammates Eric Reid and Eli Harold. The Seahawks continued to stand together with arms locked, as they had revealed they would do before the game against the Dolphins on Sept. 11.
Last week at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the Seahawks stood together with Nate Boyer, the former Green Beret who was in training camp with Seattle in 2015.
