She’s a Time Bomb has disappointed many times despite being heavily bet, and she was claimed out of her last start at this level. She seems to be the fastest in this field, but don’t bet the house on her. Take Point should improve in her second start against winners. Leading jockey Juan Gutierrez stays aboard Sassy Poppy after a disappointing race in her last start.
Plan a Game gets a jockey switch to Gutierrez, and maybe that will finally propel her to her first win after 15 misses. Zenett finished just ahead of the top pick in her last race. Milieux showed improvement in her last race.
Femmina Pesante can win with a better beginning than she had one month ago while finishing third as the 2-1 second choice. Promiscuous Harbor has been facing better at Golden Gate Fields in Northern California. Memo’s Star has finished second in her past two starts.
Run Atom tries a mile for the first time, and the extra distance might do him some good. Diamond Peak has been second twice in a row at this level and distance. Murray the Cop has a good shot to get into the trifecta.
Bella Angelina seems like she has been building up to a big race. This is her best distance. High Caliber drops in class again. Kilauea will be rallying late.
Stopshoppingdebbie is 2 for 2 and looks for her second straight stakes win. One of her stablemates, Goin to the Window and Blueberry Smoothie, will likely win if she doesn’t.
ity Twister returns to the level he won at at two races ago. Rezar was an impressive winner in his last race. Tough Road Ahead is better than he showed in his last race, when he was beaten badly by the top pick while being favored.
Carving gets a better distance today after finishing third as the 3-5 favorite. Finallygotabentley beat the top pick in capturing the Auburn Handicap in his last start. Music of My Soul was scratched at the gate before the Auburn stakes, but it would be no surprise if he is close at the end.
Kissing Ruby can win her second straight, but she will need to avoid getting into a speed duel. Starlight Gem will likely be favored, but she has been off almost two months and there is other early speed for her to contend with. Train Speed will be rallying late.
Lil Sister Sadie runs a mile for the first time and could turn around her poor recent form with the stretch-out in distance. Get Well has been in the money in seven of eight starts at this distance. Little by Little got his first career win in his last race at this distance.
