First three horses listed in each race in order of predicted finish.
First race: 2 p.m.
Simba’s Sis looks the best of the horses who have run before. Trainer Doris Harwood, who does great work with 2-year-olds, trains first-time starter Polly Ester Pompom, and Slewbie Doo has Hall of Fame trainer Tim McCanna in his corner.

Jo B With Thee was fifth as the odds-on favorite in her last race, but she can rebound by getting to the early lead in a race where there is little early speed. Over Souled rallied to finish third among 12 at 6 furlongs last month. Plan a Game is still looking for her first win in her 17th start, but she does have five seconds and four thirds.
Atta Boy Lucky was third as the 13-10 favorite in his first start at Emerald and can improve on that with a better break from the gate. Songandabullet runs for a claiming price for the first time. Just Like Uptown was second last year in his only career start and drops in class for this race.
Marvin’s Magic has been facing much better. Memphis Mobster has won two of his past three races. Camp Pendleton is in great form but his jockey elected to stay with the top pick.
SCRATCHED: Nothin Like a Dame
Grab Ahold is well-bred and has been working out great for his career debut. Diner’s Diva was a nice second in her career debut last month, finishing just ahead of stablemate Hetty, who looks to make amends after finishing third as the 13-10 favorite.
Lit’l in Din Boy cuts back in distance after an uncharacteristic poor race. Newfound Man continues his dramatic drop down the class ladder. Wolfgang has been racing in Northern California, but he should be a good fit in this field.
War Wizard drops to a career-low level, but has to hope that Red Colt Fortyfive, who is better than his last race indicates, doesn’t press him too hard for the early lead. Twist My Kazoo will be rallying late.
Dare Me Devil seems to try hard every time and was second in his last start, at this level and distance. Wasserman, an 11-year-old, isn’t what he once was, but he seems to be rounding into form. Rezar stretches out in distance after some nice races.
Snooper Dauper is in good form. Murray the Cop seems to have an aversion to winning (like most of the horses in this field), but he returns to a much better distance for him. Evil Urges makes his first start.
BEST BET: Snooper Dauber
