Final medal tracker: Here’s how WA athletes performed at Paris Olympics

The Olympics are back.

Paris plays host to the best athletes in the world competing in 32 sports over the next couple weeks as the Games return to full strength for the first time since 2018.

After COVID restrictions limited the past two Games, in Tokyo and Beijing, fans will be fully in attendance with no mask requirements or quarantine restrictions.

Over the course of 19 days, 10,500 athletes will compete in 329 events. And there’s no shortage of reasons for residents across Washington to cheer from Seattle to every coast and corner of the state.

Below is a list of 62 athletes with ties to Washington going for gold. Get to know each local Olympian and follow along as we track how they perform over the course of the Summer Games.
