Ranking the major-league teams

Royals: We had to move them up in the rankings or else Yordano Ventura was going to start throwing fastballs at our rib cages. The chip on his shoulder is larger than a side of Kansas City beef.

Angels: They ended up paying $48 million to Gary Matthews, who never played, $54 million to Vernon Wells, who couldn’t play, and will pay close to $80 million to Josh Hamilton to play for the Rangers. Nice job.

Reds: There’s no #$$%^@ way the Reds were moving up in the rankings no matter how many uses of the F-word that manager Bryan Price could demonstrate in his rant. Will the Reds have more or less wins than Price’s 77 usages of that word?

Rangers: They are working to bring back Josh Hamilton. Maybe it will work, maybe it won’t. But it’s certain that he should have never left the support system he had with the Rangers.
