Ian Miller had two doubles and three RBI in two big innings for Tacoma

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Down by five runs, the Tacoma Rainiers scored four runs in the seventh inning and three in the eighth for an 8-6 victory over Nashville in Pacific Coast League baseball Monday.

Garrett Kennedy had a two-run triple in the seventh to get the ball rolling for Tacoma (32-33). Ian Miller followed with a run-scoring double and Kirk Nieuwenhuis drove him home with a single. In the ninth, Miller added a two-run double and Gordon Beckham drove him in with a double. Miller and Beckham each had three hits against the Sounds (30-32).

NOTE

• Rainiers right-hander Casey Lawrence was named the PCL pitcher of the week after allowing just one earned run through 15 innings of two starts. He had 13 strikeouts and one walk.
