Pitcher Shawn Armstrong represented the Tacoma Rainiers in Wednesday’s Triple-A All-Star Game in Columbus, Ohio, won by the Pacific Coast League, 12-7 over the International League.

Armstrong, a right-handed reliever who has seven saves and a 2.04 ERA this season, struck out the only batter he faced, Yu Chang of the Columbus Clippers, to end the eighth inning.

Center fielder Josh Stowers hit a pair of home runs and the AquaSox won at Everett Memorial Stadium in front of 1,957 in the Northwest League game. Rob Whalen started, and allowed three earned runs in 22/3 innings.
