9:35 a.m.: The Mariners announce they have signed manager Scott Servais to a multi-year contract extension. This was to be expected after the team signed general manager Jerry Dipoto to an extension on July 6.

“I feel fortunate to be given the opportunity to continue to work with an amazing group of players and staff,” Servais said in a news release. “Our front office is extremely active and very supportive as we work toward bringing a World Series title to a very deserving and passionate fan base.”

Servais and Dipoto will speak at news conference scheduled for 12:30 p.m. today. Here’s more from Ryan Divish.
