Kristian Brito hit a grand slam as the host Everett AquaSox defeated the Tri-City Dust Devils 8-1 Friday night in a Northwest League game.

Brito’s shot came in the first inning. Everett (34-26) also scored four runs in the third as Dimas Ojeda, Nick Thurman and Jose Leal each drove in a run. Brito and Austin Grebeck each had two hits.

Reggie McClain (2-3) pitched three innings of scoreless relief to earn the victory.

Rainiers win

After an extended rain delay, the Tacoma Rainiers (73-53) earned a 4-2 victory over the host Nashville Sounds in 10 innings.

The Rainiers swatted 11 base hits against the Sounds, led by a 4-for-5 night from right fielder Daniel Robertson and a 3-for-5 performance from shortstop Tyler Smith.

Robertson scored the go-ahead run in the 10th inning on a wild pitch.
