Felix Day has been postponed.

Just a little before 1 p.m. Friday, the team announced that starting pitcher Felix Hernandez had been scratched from his start because of an illness. There was no official report of the exact illness, though sources said it was believed to be the flu.

The Mariners adjusted their rotation, bumping up Hisashi Iwakuma to start Friday night instead against the Angels. The hope is that Hernandez will be able to pitch Saturday.

With an off day Monday, Iwakuma will still be working on normal rest.
