Mariners TV broadcaster Dave Sims answered questions about the Mariners' 2015 outlook, his broadcasting career and more in a live chat on Friday.

Dave Sims is in his ninth season as a member of the Mariners’ broadcast team, and he currently does TV play-by-play alongside analyst Mike Blowers on ROOT Sports Northwest.

After growing up in Philadelphia, Sims attended Bethany College in West Virginia where he played baseball and football. He earned a degree in mass communications. Sims also calls NFL, college football and college basketball games, and he hosts Sirius XM Satellite Radio show “Basketball and Beyond” with Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Sims’ baseball broadcasting career was highlighted two perfect games in 2012. Both games involved the Mariners, with the first being Philip Humber’s perfect game for the Chicago White Sox against Seattle on April 21, and the other being Felix Hernandez’s perfect game on Aug. 15 against the Tampa Bay Rays.
