The Irish never trailed in their quarterfinal tilt with Lincoln on Friday night. 

Sumner 16, Woodinville 13
The Spartans were without standout running back/linebacker Connor Wedington, but clinched a bid into the 4A state semifinals anyways. Jayda Evans has the story. And photos can be found here.

Meadowdale 34, Peninsula 29
Meadowdale nearly let a 20-point lead slip, narrowly advancing past Peninsula in a 3A state quarterfinal game. Aaron Lommers has the story.

Lummi Nation 56 Naselle 16
Lummi Nation reeled off 56 straight points to make no doubt about its appearance in the 1B state semifinals next week. The Bellingham school will face Neah Bay on Nov. 26.

Girl’s soccer

Camas 1, Skyline 0
A 70th minute goal sent Camas through to the 4A state title game. The Spartans will play for third place on Saturday afternoon at Sparks Stadium. Matt Massey has the story. 

Southridge 1, Bishop Blanchet 0
Bellevue 1, Seattle Prep 0
There was little margin for error in the afternoon 3A state semifinal matches at Sparks Stadium. Bellevue will meet Southridge of Kennewick tomorrow for the state title. David Kreuger has the story on Bellevue’s win.

Overlake 1, King’s 0

Jaquelin Nordhoff netted the game’s only goal in the first 60 seconds and Overlake held on to down King’s and advance to the 1A state championship against La Salle on Saturday afternoon at Shoreline Stadium.

Alex Hobbs assisted the winning goal and Julia Noble preserved the shutout for 80 minutes.

La Salle 1 Cascade 0
La Salle, of the Yakima Valley, advanced to play Overlake in the 1A state title game.

Liberty 6, Archbishop Murphy 2
Archbishop Murphy struck first with 22 minutes left in the first half, then Liberty began a flood of goals in the waning minutes of the half. The Patriots slid four goals past the Wildcats in the second half to roll into the 2A championship match against on Saturday at Shoreline Stadium.
