Division championships in the Cascade and Olympic divisions will likely be decided with key matches on Monday.
The new North Puget Sound League has saved its best for last, at least in volleyball.
Barring unforeseen upsets Thursday night, in the Cascade and Olympic divisions Monday’s final night of league play will determine the league’s champions. In the Cascade, No. 3 and first-place Tahoma (5-0 in the division heading into a Thursday match with Kentlake) visits once-beaten and No. 10 Kennedy Catholic.
In the Olympic, No. 7 Auburn-Mountainview visits No. 2 Auburn Riverside. The Lions and Ravens should win their respective matches on Thursday, which means the rivals that battled in the Class 3A SPSL until this fall, will enter their season finale at 6-0 in the division.
Auburn Riverside, incidentally, already has played the Bears and Lancers during the nonleague season. The Ravens didn’t lose a single set to either, winning in mid-September, 3-0. Auburn Riverside’s only league loss this season came on September 29 at No. 8 Kentwood, 3-2.
