Garfield’s Dalayah Daniels was named to the McDonald’s All-America team Thursday.

Daniels’ name was flashed on ESPN’s “The Jump,” which has become the way the teams are announced, shortly after noon.

The five-star Daniels, named the No. 26 senior in the nation by, committed to California in October. She has kept the Bulldogs (10-4) as the top-ranked Class 3A girls basketball team in the state.

Another in-state player was also named an All-American: Cashmere’s Hailey Van Lith. Van Lith, who is on pace to break the state’s career girls scoring record this season, is the No. 2 prospect in the nation. She has committed to Louisville.

They join recent in-state All-Americans in Federal Way’s Jaden McDaniels (2019), Nathan Hale’s Michael Porter Jr. (2017) and Bellevue’s Anna Wilson (2016).

The All-American game is April 1 at the Toyota Center in Houston.
