Last week, 247Sports.com updated its rankings for basketball players in the Class of 2019, and Federal Way’s Jaden McDaniels made a huge jump.

The 6-foot-8 forward jumped from No. 89 to No. 10 and earned five-star recruit status.

“McDaniels has progressed at an extreme rate over the last year and is still nothing but upside,” 247Sports analyst Josh Gershon said on the site. “He has good size and length to go with plus athleticism and a consistently evolving skill set.”

McDaniels recently picked up an offer from Kansas to go with his offers from Washington, Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas and San Diego State.

His older brother Jalen McDaniels is playing at San Diego State. He is testing the NBA waters after his redshirt freshman season for the Aztecs.

Among other Washington players among the top 100: Garfield’s PJ Fuller is ranked No. 45, Gonzaga Prep’s Anton Watson (who is committed to Gonzaga) is No. 57 and Kittitas’s Brock Ravet (another Gonzaga commit) is No. 96.
