STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES — The Colts had four positive coronavirus tests on Friday, but retests came up negative — keeping the game to be played as scheduled. … Cincinnati has won two straight and four of the last six in this series. … Rookie QB Joe Burrow ranks second in the league in pass attempts (207), third in completions (135) and has thrown five TD passes and one interception in his first three road games. … Cincinnati RB Giovani Bernard has a streak of 756 carries without a fumble, dating to 2013. … The Bengals have allowed 16 sacks in the past three weeks and have given up a league-high 22 this season. … Cincinnati DE Carlos Dunlap has 82 1/2 career sacks and needs one to tie Eddie Edwards’ team record. He got his first sack this season last week at Baltimore. … Dunlap’s teammate, DT Geno Atkins, also is nearing Edwards’ mark. Atkins has 76 1/2 sacks. … Cincinnati S Jessie Bates III has seven passes defensed, tied for second in the league. … Cincinnati will be without DT J.D. Reader, one of its top free-agent acquisitions, after he suffered a season-ending leg injury last week. … Indianapolis is playing its second Ohio team in two weeks. Cleveland snapped the Colts’ three-game winning streak last week. … The Colts have won three straight home games including their first two at Lucas Oil Stadium this season. … QB Philip Rivers is expected to make his 230th consecutive start, passing Bruce Matthews for the fourth-longest streak in league history. … Rivers has thrown four interceptions in Indy’s two losses and has five this season, but has been sacked only five times, third fewest in the league. … RB Jonathan Taylor is one of three rookies with a 100-yard game this year and his 414 yards from scrimmage are fourth among all rookies. Marshall Faulk, Alan Ameche and Edgerrin James are the only Colts players to produce more yards from scrimmage through their first five games. … Nyheim Hines needs three receptions to pass Joe Washington (127) for third among Colts running backs in his first three seasons. … Indy K Rodrigo Blankenship leads the NFL with 15 field goals and and 56 points and is only the second player to achieve those numbers in his first five games. Richie Cunningham had 18 field goals and 62 points with Dallas in 1997. … Indy’s defense dropped to second in points allowed (17.6) after giving up a season-high 32 last week, but still leads the league with nine interceptions. … The Colts have allowed only one run of 20 or more yards this season. … DeForest Buckner is tied for third among NFL defensive linemen with 23 tackles. … DE Justin Houston needs one safety to tie Ted Hendricks, Doug English and Jared Allen for the NFL record (4). … Fantasy tip: As Indy tries to get its ground game on track, Taylor would be a solid option against the Bengals’ porous run defense. But the Colts’ defense facing a rookie quarterback while trying to prove last week’s subpar game was a fluke may be the better choice.
