KIRKLAND — Terrene Urban and Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) recently introduced JADE Residences, a new collection that will offer 136 attainable and modern condominium homes — the first of their kind for the area in over a decade.
A “groundbreaking” ceremony was presented as a kickoff for construction and marketing of the homes, but the real work is just beginning. The site mobilization and permits have been obtained, and construction of the homes has officially begun.
To mark the beginning of construction, the JADE Residences sales gallery, located at 12011 124th Ave. N.E. in Kirkland, hosted its grand opening to the public on Oct. 5. The event marked the first release of the units and pricing, and was received with success: There were more than 100 visitors during the first week, and more than 50 percent of the initially released inventory of homes was sold.
Visitors to the state-of-the-art gallery have access to a model residence that showcases the finishes and amenities through material samples, virtual reality and CGI renderings. Early buyers have the limited opportunity to reserve their homes and lock in introductory pricing.
JADE Residences will have 136 one-, two- and two-bedroom-plus-den condominiums priced from less than $400,000 to more than $1 million — a starting price point and a new style of next-gen urban living that did not previously exist in the area, according to Wade Metz, founder of Terrene Urban
“It’s a great time for a development like this,” he says. “The Kirkland market hasn’t seen an offering like this in quite a while, and there is significant demand for this type of living.”
JADE will be located adjacent to the Village at Totem Lake, a multi-million-dollar development nearing completion and developed by CenterCal Properties LLC of California. The brand-new complex features approximately 1,200 residential apartment units, a Whole Foods market, a Nordstrom Rack store, an iPic theater and numerous luxury dining and retail spaces.
JADE is also within walking distance of Kirkland’s hiking trails and other outdoor activities. Commutes are short to the largest tech campuses in Seattle and the Eastside. Evergreen Health Medical Center is just seconds from JADE’s front door.
JADE Residences’ amenities will feature all the necessities for an optimized lifestyle in Kirkland, including a full-time concierge and dedicated package spaces for cold storage and online deliveries, laundry service and other conveniences. A 360-degree rooftop deck boasts panoramic views of the natural surroundings, including Mount Rainier. It has a firepit and grilling stations for outdoor evenings. Residents can host a party from that vantage point or congregate in the JADE club room which has a catering kitchen, bar, screening area, fireplace and private dining table.
