BLACK DIAMOND — At a time when Seattle-area homebuyers are purchasing smaller homes on less land, Garrette Custom Homes is bucking that trend by giving homebuyers a little elbow room at its newest development, Lawson Hills Estates.

Located in south King County’s Black Diamond community — not far from where the average home price has topped $1 million and buyers often find themselves bidding against many others for the same house — Lawson Hills Estates offers 16 lots on plots that measure up to 10,000 square feet.

Presales are underway following this month’s grand opening, and 11 of the homes remain for sale at prices that start in the high $500,000s. The one- and two-story homes include three or four bedrooms, up to 3.5 baths and up to 3,000 square feet or more of living space.

“Those who buy during presales can choose the floor plans and interior features of the home,” he says. “Buyers who purchase a presale or a design-ready home have the opportunity to select their personal choices, while those who simply want to move in and unpack can opt for a finished home.”

Lawson Hills Estates is located in a growing area near shopping, dining and Black Diamond’s historic district. Nature lovers can take advantage of nearby recreational areas such as Lake Sawyer, Flaming Geyser Park and the Green River Gorge. The community is near trails at Mile Post 10 on Highway 169 for hiking and picnicking.

Children can attend the newly remodeled Black Diamond Elementary School. Those who commute for work or activities have easy access to Highway 18.
