Seattle firefighters rescued a man who was trapped in an overturned loader at Terminal 46 on the Seattle waterfront on Wednesday morning.

Fire Capt. Shata Stephenson said the loader appears to have overturned while lifting a load, thrusting the vehicle’s cab into the air.

Stephenson did not know how the incident occurred.

“I can’t even begin to speculate how it happened,” he said.

A lift was used to reach the driver, a man in his 50s, who was taken to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries.

“This is a happy ending,” Stephenson said.
