The planned public introduction of a new baby gorilla at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo will be delayed.
A planned public introduction of a new baby gorilla Tuesday afternoon will be delayed by at least a week.
Woodland Park Zoo officials said they wanted to give the 6-month-old Yola and her mother a chance to better adjust to being on public view.
The zoo also said it was delaying the planned press viewing out of respect for colleagues at the Cincinnati Zoo, where a western lowland gorilla was shot and killed Saturday after a 4-year-old boy fell into the exhibit.
