SNOQUALMIE, Wash. (AP) — Multiple motorists ended up with flat tires Sunday after a truck lost a load of wood screws on Interstate 90 near Snoqualmie Pass, officials said.
Trooper John Bryant of the Washington State Patrol says hundreds of screws spilled across the eastbound lanes of the freeway at around 1 p.m. Sunday, and many cars pulled over to the shoulder after their tires were flattened, according to KOMO-TV.
”(It is) another reminder of how important it is to be sure everything in your vehicle is secured, for everyone’s safety,” Trooper Bryant tweeted.
The truck that lost its load of screws kept going and was not caught, state transportation officials said.
Road crews did their best to clean up as many of the screws as possible, according to officials.
